About Me

Welcome. I’m Allie, the founder and creator of East Sound Lane.  I grew up spending my summers on Martha’s Vineyard at the house my grandparents bought in the late 70's.  I inherited my passion for plants, flowers and simple skincare from my mother and grandmother.

After a career as a newsroom producer, I decided to quit and go to culinary school. During that time, instead of cooking food, I was busy using the physics and chemistry of cooking and baking to make my own skincare products.  After a few years as a chef, I decided to follow my passion for skincare and go to  esthetician school.  And with the Covid lockdown I was finally able to pursue something I’ve been passionate about for so long!

Simple Skincare: Skin is our largest organ. 60% of what we put on our skin penetrates into our bloodstream so it’s important to be conscious with what you put on your face and body. For this reason, I use minimal, plant-based ingredients mostly grown in my family’s garden, free of pesticides, and hand harvested by me.  I never use parabens, formaldehyde, synthetic dyes, fragrances, phthalates, or sulfates. I make everything by hand in small batches, always seeking to ensure I abide by highest standards. I hope you enjoy the products as much as I do!
